Chapter Five
On the Brink
It wasn't a conscious decision on Aislin or Lander's part to hide their relationship from his family; they certainly weren’t actively hiding. They enjoyed going out to eat and they went to the movies once. Several times Lander had taken him back to his place and made him dinner. They just hadn’t attended a family event together.
Aislin had been too busy to go to Sunday dinners, or host one, with the catering business picking up as spring began to turn into summer. The winery had so much positive feedback Aislin had gotten contracts with three other catering businesses to supply their wine and beer orders.
The brewery wasn't expanding nearly as fast but with the baby coming, and his new relationship with Lander, Aislin hadn't had a lot of time to focus on it. The tension between Aislin and Lander was growing. They'd had the 'we're boyfriends' and the 'I don't want you to see anyone else' conversations too. Aislin had pointed out he wasn't exactly rolling in the men, unlike Lander who worked at a bar. Lander had assured him, very graphically, exactly how much he wanted Aislin, not some nameless bar hookup.
They'd gone out the night before and then come back to his house since Aislin had to get up early and Lander didn't have to get to work until two. They'd spent an hour making out on the couch, and Aislin thought they'd move to the bedroom, but it hadn't happened. Lander had left after a few hours, leaving Aislin sated but not satisfied by a long shot.
Just thinking about Lander made him hard and he wanted more. He wanted to be stripped naked and laid out on the bed while the larger man sank deep inside him. They’d started dating in March and it was the middle of May. Aislin now knew Lander was a huge romantic, which had surprised him, but they’d given their relationship long enough to grow from friends to lovers. Aislin was going to combust soon if they didn’t have actual sex.
Palming the bulge pressing against the zipper of his pants, Aislin moaned. The closer they got, the more Aislin began to crave being around Lander. He was constantly thinking about things he wanted to share with him. He loved the time they spent together and work was no competition for his attention, especially that day.
A warm breeze slid in through the window and ruffled his hair. Aislin sank back in his seat, his legs spreading. The phone rang and Aislin cursed. His hand moved reluctantly away from his aching cock.
"Montressed Vineyard and Brewery business office. Can I help you?" Aislin tried to ignore the tight pain in his balls as he juggled the phone and picked up a pen before sliding his notepad in front of him. It took some effort but he focused on the phone call, pushing his arousal to the back of his mind. He wrote down the time on the top sheet of his notepad.
"I hope so.
